Ray Burton, the father of late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, has passed away according to his daughter Connie. She took to social media today, January 19, 2020, that Ray had passed away on January 15th. Metallica included Ray in various Cliff and other Metallica-related activities over the years, including their Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction, shows, and much more. Cliff’s share of royalties from the band’s royalties would later go to Ray and his family after his son’s passing.
