10 Years Earn First Platinum Certification In The U.S. As Three Singles Reach New RIAA Milestones

Knoxville, Tennessee alternative metal outfit 10 Years have reached a major career milestone, securing their first platinum certification in the United States alongside two additional gold-certified singles.

The RIAA officially awarded new certifications on March 25, 2026, with the band’s breakout 2005 single “Wasteland” achieving double platinum status. The track originally appeared as the lead single from The Autumn Effect, the band’s third studio album, which is already certified gold. “Wasteland” first earned gold certification in December 2017 before continuing its steady rise in sales and streaming numbers.

Two more songs from the band’s catalog also reached new benchmarks the same day. “Beautiful,” taken from 2008’s Division, and “Fix Me,” featured on 2010’s Feeding The Wolves, were both certified gold.

Following the announcement, the band shared a message with fans reflecting on the achievement:

“Today was a BIG day.

A day that doesn’t happen without every single one of you who’s ever let our music into your life.

‘Wasteland’ is now officially 2x PLATINUM.
‘Beautiful’ is GOLD.
‘Fix Me’ is GOLD.

In the United States, a platinum certification represents one million units sold, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Modern RIAA certifications also factor in streaming totals, with digital downloads and on-demand streams contributing toward overall unit equivalents.
