New Jersey nü-metal mainstays 40 Below Summer have officially brought their 1999 debut album Side Show Freaks to leading digital service providers for the first time. The long-overdue move marks a major step in the band’s ongoing catalog upkeep, coming ahead of their first new studio album in over a decade.
The band announced the news this morning (June 19th), saying:
“It only took us 26 years, but our first album, ‘Side Show Freaks’ (1999), is now available on all streaming platforms for the first time ever.”
The long out-of-print debut has been a cult favorite among early nü-metal enthusiasts and completes a significant milestone for fans looking to revisit the group’s roots.
Meanwhile, 40 Below Summer recently shared a new single from their upcoming seventh full-length album, which is currently scheduled for a fall 2025 release. It will be their first new record since 2015’s Transmission Infrared.
