A PERFECT CIRCLE Celebrate 25th Anniversary of ‘Mer De Noms’ With Special Vinyl Editions

A Perfect Circle are honoring the 25th anniversary of their platinum-certified debut Mer de Noms with two special vinyl releases this fall.

First up is a mesmerizing 2LP zoetrope vinyl edition, featuring four unique animations—one on each side of the record. The visuals include the album’s signature glyphs, photos from the original band lineup (Maynard James Keenan, Billy Howerdel, Josh Freese, Paz Lenchantin, and Troy Van Leeuwen), clips from the David Fincher-directed “Judith” video, and the group’s iconic logo in motion.

The second pressing comes as part of the Definitive Sound Series (DSS): a strictly limited One-Step audiophile edition. Mastered by Levi Seltz (Metallica, Green Day) from 96kHz/24bit source files, this version promises exceptional depth, clarity, and detail. Only 3,000 hand-numbered copies will be made, pressed at RTI for what’s being billed as the truest representation of the landmark album.

Reflecting on the debut in a recent Revolver feature, Maynard James Keenan said: “It seemed really emotional. There were a lot of elements that I responded to – where I could explore shadow aspects of myself.” Guitarist Billy Howerdel recalled “getting goosebumps” upon first hearing Keenan’s voice over their early demos.
