A Place To Kill, the industrial metal collaboration featuring Filter frontman Richard Patrick and Jim Louvau of There Is No Us, have unveiled a new music video for “Jet Engine.”
The track appears on the duo’s newly released debut EP, ‘APTK’, and arrives alongside a new video directed by Tony Aguilera, whose previous work includes videos for Stitched Up Heart and Exodus.
The project pairs Patrick’s long-established industrial rock pedigree with Louvau’s experience as a musician, filmmaker, and visual artist, resulting in a sound that blends electronic textures, heavy rhythms, and aggressive industrial energy.
Speaking about the origins of “Jet Engine,” Patrick revealed that the song began with a simple keyboard idea before evolving into something much larger.
“‘Jet Engine’ all started off with a sound from my Sequential Pro 3 keyboard. Once I got the baseline rocking, I added some drums and some ambient textures. As far as what it’s about, that’s up to you. I would rather you come up with your interpretation of it. To us, it’s a call to arms against the newly forming oligarchy that’s suppressing Western civilization.”
Louvau also shared insight into the song’s title and rebellious spirit, explaining that the phrase has personal roots dating back to previous recording sessions.
“The Jet Engine of Fuck You was a nickname given to me by producer Sean Beavan during the There Is No Us record; that’s how he describes my voice and the style of music I make. The song is very intentionally rebellious and it came together very quickly in the studio and it’s as catchy as a cold.”
The release marks the first chapter for A Place To Kill, but it won’t be the last. During a recent conversation with Revolver, the duo confirmed that additional material is already in the works, signaling that ‘APTK’ is only the beginning of the project’s creative partnership.
