ALIEN ANT FARM Respond to “Wish” Being Left Off the New ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4’ Soundtrack: “I Don’t Know Why It Had To Be Us…”

While a number of returning favorites and new names are featured on the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 soundtrack, Alien Ant Farm won’t be among them. The band’s platinum-certified track “Wish”, which originally appeared on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, has not been included in the highly anticipated remaster due out July 11th.

In a recent conversation with BBC, guitarist Terry Corso opened up about the omission:

“Is it a bummer that we weren’t invited, or that they didn’t include us? Absolutely. We understand that they’re trying to bring some new stuff onto these releases, and if you’ve gotta make cuts, you gotta make cuts. I don’t know why it had to be us, I feel like our song was really good on there and it did really well.”

Vocalist Dryden Mitchell added his thoughts:

“I kind of get it, that skating feels a little more like the punk side, and we’re not a punk band. But I think that’s what makes a cool collection of a soundtrack soundtrack, is being different.”

The revamped game will launch across multiple platforms and blends the third and fourth entries in the beloved skateboarding franchise. The soundtrack will include songs from Alice In Chains, Iron Maiden, Turnstile, Mastodon, and more.

Adding another layer of irony, CKY — a band Alien Ant Farm were involved in a backstage altercation with last year — will appear on the soundtrack with “96 Quite Bitter Beings”, also originally featured in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3.
