    Amerakin Overdose Vocalist Cody Perez Calls Out Ex-Mushroomhead Member Rick “St1tch” Thomas Following Social Media Reaction

    Amerakin Overdose vocalist Cody Perez has publicly fired back at Richard “St1tch” Thomas, formerly of Mushroomhead, following a brief but pointed interaction on social media.

    The situation began after Amerakin Overdose released their latest music video for “Time Bomb.” When a post announcing the video was shared online by The Mosh Network, Thomas — who is currently focused on his band Ventana and regularly collaborates with A Killer’s Confession — responded with a laughing emoji. The reaction quickly caught Perez’s attention.

    Perez took to social media to address the response, referencing lingering tension dating back to their time on the road together and alleging long-standing hostility during a shared tour. Perez wrote:

    “When we did the Mushroomhead tour, this guy hated us so much he went as far as talk trash about us the whole tour and then went on an interview a fan tagged us to further talk shit about us. It’s funny he has some sort of beef against us for no reason other than we wear masks. This clown was the lackey for Skinny for many years. We must have made some sort of lasting impression on him if he still remembers us and he’s laughing at a post we got on a media site. Honestly, the puppet-like mask suits him perfectly. Fuck this guy!”

    Amerakin Overdose previously opened for Mushroomhead on ‘The Devil’s Be Damned Tour’ in 2015, a run that also featured Mortiis, September Mourning, and Unsaid Fate.

    While Thomas has not publicly responded to Perez’s comments as publishing.

      I dunno the guy personally, but Stitch was always nice to me when we met. I know bands kinda rub each other wrong on tours alot anyway, so more must be going on. I like both all three bands, VentanA, MRH, and AMRKN OD. It was probably some passing poke fun that got out of hand.

        Dakota Barnes I’ve never heard of amrkn od but all the former MRH original members I’ve met have been total cool dudes. I’ve hung out with Waylon so much I can’t even count. Jeff was cool af and so was jmann Jason when I got the ability to meet him last year. Being front row and center when Waylon and jmann did some of the original mrh songs what a time in my life

      I have worked personally with Rick and he has always been pretty cool !! People should stop trying to make something big out of something so small… focus on yourself and stop trying to push the attention to someone else… how many views and streams do you think Rick’s band has got from all this??? lol..       I saw them on their tour with MRH and Pito was really cool. Guest listed me because I couldn’t find a ticket. Ive known Rick for YEARS and am a huge fan of his band Ventana. Is the industry this bored that a person reacting to a slight is making THIS much press?

      All great bands all good guys from what it seems just some BS that goes on between bands on tour usually nothing too serious but who cares let them have their beef that between them.

      Love all bands mentioned except killers confession I got no idea about them but I’ll give it a listen.
