Industrial nü-metal outfit Amerakin Overdose have shared a new track and music video for “Time Bomb” today, January 23rd. The official video, directed by Drumwell Media, accompanies the band’s latest explosive offering.
Production on the track comes from Jonny Santos of Spineshank, with additional mixing and production handled by Nikolas Roy Quemtri. Guest vocals on the song are contributed by Tauren Blackman, adding further intensity to the industrial-driven sound.
Vocalist Cody Perez discussed the lyrical themes of “Time Bomb”:
“‘Time Bomb’ is a raw exploration of the internal war we fight when pressure, trauma, and expectation collide. The song lives inside the mind of someone running on an invisible clock, holding everything together while feeling dangerously close to unraveling. Opposing forces clash—angel and devil, saint and sinner, love and hate—representing the constant voices in the head, each pulling for control. Every setback tightens the fuse and feeds the urge to snap.”
Perez adds that the track “captures that moment of restraint right before release—the choice between control and chaos, silence and eruption,” leaving the interpretation open for listeners to relate to mental health, identity, societal pressure, or personal demons.
Amerakin Overdose will be taking “Time Bomb” on the road with select festival appearances this year:
- 03/28 Fernley, NV – InFERNo Music & Fire Festival
- 07/18 Cadott, WI – Rock Fest
- 08/15 Sonora, CA – Black Bomb Metal Fest 13
