American Me Frontman Tony Tatje Loses Wife After Battle With Leukemia; Fundraiser Launched To Support Family

The hardcore community is rallying around American Me frontman Tony Tatje after the heartbreaking loss of his wife, Brooke.

According to a GoFundMe launched by friends and supporters, Brooke passed away following a prolonged and grueling battle with leukemia, compounded by complications from Huntington’s disease. Throughout her illness, she endured treatments, setbacks, hospital stays and constant uncertainty — with Tony remaining by her side every step of the way.

The fundraiser describes Brooke’s strength as “unimaginable,” noting that Tony fought tirelessly for her care, advocating for her and standing firm through the crushing weight of the situation. Now, following her passing, that fight has changed.

Tony has lost his life partner and best friend. Their daughter, Harlyn, has lost her mother.

Organizers say the immediate goal is to give Tony and Harlyn the space and stability they need to grieve without the added pressure of financial strain. Brooke’s illness brought significant medical, travel and care-related expenses, and Tony reportedly poured everything — emotionally, physically and financially — into giving her every possible chance.

The fundraiser aims to assist with:

• Funeral and memorial expenses
• Outstanding medical bills
• Living costs while Tony takes time away from work
• Stability and transitional support for Harlyn
• Future efforts to honor and memorialize Brooke
• Unexpected financial burdens that come with the loss of a spouse and parent

Beyond music, Tony has also been deeply involved in his jiu jitsu community, which supporters say helped him build discipline and resilience during the fight for his wife’s life. Now, both the hardcore scene and his training partners are being called upon to stand beside him in return.
