Progressive metal veterans Amorphis have officially struck gold in their homeland of Finland. The band’s fourteenth studio album, Halo (2022), has surpassed 10,000 copies sold, earning them a gold certification. The group was recently presented with commemorative plaques and marked the milestone with a celebratory event, sharing highlights with fans online.
In Finland, a gold record represents 10,000 copies sold, while platinum status is awarded at 20,000 copies.
The achievement comes just weeks before the band’s fifteenth studio album, Borderlands, arrives on September 26th.
