Armed For Apocalypse Premiere New “IMMORTAL” Music Video

Armed For Apocalypse have unveiled a new single titled “IMMORTAL,” offering another preview of their upcoming full-length album ‘THE EARTH IS BREATHING BENEATH ME’, which is scheduled to arrive April 24th via Church Road Records.

The Californian sludge metal outfit once again teamed with Converge guitarist and acclaimed producer Kurt Ballou for the new record, with the freshly released track showcasing the dense, emotionally heavy atmosphere shaping the album’s direction. A music video directed by Jon R. Moore accompanies the single and is now available to watch below.

Vocalist Nate Burman shared insight into the personal themes behind the song and its visual concept:

“‘Immortal’ was a heavy one to write about. The video concept came to me in a dream one night. The idea of a looming darkness trying to take light away from you captured the feelings of what it feels like to struggle with mental health. I kept thinking, How good would it feel to just not hurt all the time? And I think that’s where the last line of the song ‘and to feel a heart without the pain is immortal’ encompasses everything.”

‘THE EARTH IS BREATHING BENEATH ME’ will mark the band’s next studio effort and continues their collaboration with Ballou behind the boards.
