Metalcore mainstays As I Lay Dying have posted a new teaser video on social media, signaling an upcoming announcement set for Wednesday, October 8th. The clip arrives amid a period of uncertainty and controversy surrounding frontman Tim Lambesis, whose name has long been connected to turbulence within the band’s history.

Following the public collapse of the group’s most recent lineup in late 2023, Lambesis remains the sole active member of As I Lay Dying. Despite years of internal and external challenges, he has stated his intent to rebuild the band once again.

The upcoming announcement appears to align with the band’s previously revealed plans to mark the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album Shadows Are Security with a world tour — one that begins October 30th in Moscow, Russia. The decision to launch the run in Russia has sparked debate, as few Western artists have performed there since the country’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

As of now, no lineup details have been confirmed, and comments on As I Lay Dying’s social media remain disabled. More information is expected next week when the band’s new era is officially unveiled.
