As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis recently took to Instagram Stories to directly address a comment accusing the band’s latest comeback of being a “money grab.” While the original post where the remark appeared is unclear, Lambesis didn’t hold back in his response, writing:
“0% chance you have even the slightest idea of how the music industry works. I sold all my motorcycles just to get this back on track. It’s pure passion.”
Lambesis later shared the exchange on both his personal Instagram account and the official As I Lay Dying profile, making his message loud and clear about the band’s intentions moving forward.
This interaction follows the release of “Echoes,” the band’s new single and their first with a revamped lineup. Joining Lambesis in the latest incarnation of As I Lay Dying are bassist/vocalist Chris Clandy, guitarists Bill Hudson and Don Vedda, and drummer Tim Yeung.
The track arrives independently through the band, leading into their upcoming European tour celebrating 20 years of Shadows Of Security. The run kicks off later this month and includes the following stops:
