At The Gates To Release Final Album With Tomas Lindberg, Debut “The Fever Mask”

Swedish melodic death metal pioneers At The Gates are preparing to issue their final album featuring late frontman Tomas Lindberg. The band completed the record prior to Lindberg’s passing from cancer in September 2025, marking the end of an era for one of the genre’s most influential acts.

Titled The Ghost Of A Future Dead, the album will arrive this April. As a first preview, the opening track “The Fever Mask” has officially premiered online following its debut on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal.

The forthcoming release stands as Lindberg’s final recorded work with the Gothenburg legends — a poignant closing chapter for a band whose legacy helped define melodic death metal worldwide.
