At The Gates Release “In Dark Distortion” Visualizer Alongside Final Album With Tomas Lindberg

Swedish melodic death metal pioneers At The Gates have released their final studio album featuring late frontman Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg. Titled “The Ghost Of A Future Dead”, the record arrives today, April 24th, marking a deeply emotional closing chapter for the band following Lindberg’s passing from cancer roughly six months ago.

Lindberg had completed vocal demos prior to undergoing surgery and treatment for adenoid cystic carcinoma, with those recordings forming the foundation of the album’s final vocal performances. The result stands as both a farewell and a testament to his enduring legacy in extreme metal.

Alongside the album’s release, the band have also unveiled an animated visualizer for “In Dark Distortion,” created by longtime collaborator Costin Chioreanu. Known for his work with Ghost, Corrosion Of Conformity, and previous At The Gates projects, Chioreanu delivers a fittingly atmospheric companion to the track.
