Atreyu have given a fresh electronic makeover to one of the deeper cuts from their catalog, with Sullivan King and Vastive teaming up for a new remix of “Her Portrait In Black.”
The track originally appeared as a b-side to the band’s 2006 album ‘A Death-Grip On Yesterday’ and first gained attention through the soundtrack to the 2006 film Underworld: Evolution. After remaining unavailable on digital streaming platforms for years, Atreyu officially released “Her Portrait In Black” digitally last month.
Its return coincides with preparations for a 20th-anniversary reissue of ‘A Death-Grip On Yesterday’, and the song has now received another new life through the remixing talents of Sullivan King and Vastive.
The two electronic artists have put their own metal-infused spin on the Atreyu track, bringing the previously overlooked cut into the world of modern metalstep and dubstep.
