ATREYU Re-Record ‘The Curse’ With Current Lineup, Vinyl Pre-Orders Available

Atreyu have revisited their breakthrough 2004 album The Curse, fully re-recording the now gold-certified effort with their current lineup. The updated version of the record was produced and mixed by Kellen McGregor of Memphis May Fire, and features bassist Marc “Porter” McKnight taking over the screaming vocal duties originally performed by ex-vocalist Alex Varkatzas.

The band shared the following statement on the vision behind the reimagining:

“Rebuilt with reverence — not to rewrite, but to reclaim. This is the album that shaped everything, re-recorded from the ground up with 20 years of perspective and precision. It’s heavier. It’s sharper. It’s The Curse, fully realized.”

Vinyl pressings of the re-recorded The Curse are expected to ship around August 01st, and pre-orders are now live at atreyumerch.com.

To celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary, Atreyu will be hitting the road this year for a special tour performing material from the iconic release. Dates are as follows:
