Austin Carlile, former frontman of Of Mice & Men, has officially returned to music with the release of his debut solo single, “Twisted.” The track marks Carlile’s first new musical output in more than a decade, following his departure from the band in the mid-2010s.
Shared alongside the release, Carlile teased that “Twisted” is likely the first preview of a larger body of work. Social media hashtags accompanying the rollout reference “2die4,” suggesting an upcoming EP or album is currently in motion.

The Allegations
In June 2020, multiple women came forward on social media accusing Carlile of sexual assault and rape, with some claims dating back to his time in the band Attack Attack! (circa 2007) and later in Of Mice & Men. One primary accuser, Caitlyn Stiffler, alleged that he used his position in the music industry to prey on underage girls.

• The “Shelved” Story: It was revealed that AP had conducted an extensive investigation into Carlile years prior, interviewing upwards of 15 women.
