The full 2020 lineup for the ‘Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival’ has just about been revealed. Taking place from May 15-17th, 2020 at the MAPFRE Stadium in Colombus, OH, the fest will see Metallica playing two nights/sets, the 15th and 17th with Slipknot headlining Saturday night the 16th. It appears that ‘Mayhem Festival’ will make it’s return in 2020. The festival’s Instagram shared an image of Rocky Balboa with the caption “don’t call it a comeback #mayhem2020”. The post can be seen below. The last time the festival took place was in the summer of 2015, and it was noted that there was a lack of viable headliners to continue, so the tour had been discontinued.

Slipknot and Evanescence were forced to cancel their performances at ‘Knotfest Mexico’ on November 30th at Parque Deportivo Oceanía in Mexico City due to a broken barricade that couldn’t be fixed. The festival was slated as day one of two, and as a pairing with ‘Forcefest’ being the second day. The event staff were unable to fix the broken barricade and due to the decision to cancel before Slipknot and Evanescence could perform, a small riot broke out and attendees rushed the stage and destroyed equipment.
