
Slipknot and Evanescence were forced to cancel their performances at ‘Knotfest Mexico’ on November 30th at Parque Deportivo Oceanía in Mexico City due to a broken barricade that couldn’t be fixed. The festival was slated as day one of two, and as a pairing with ‘Forcefest’ being the second day.
The event staff were unable to fix the broken barricade and due to the decision to cancel before Slipknot and Evanescence could perform, a small riot broke out and attendees rushed the stage and destroyed equipment. Among the chaos, the angry fans set fire to Evanescence‘s drum kit.
