The once annual ‘Furnace Fest’ will see it’s return this year, and a new wave of bands have been announced to be performing the fest. Among the newest additions are Codeseven, The Casket Lottery, and Glasseater – who all were a part of the first ‘Furnace Fest’ twenty years ago. The festival will take place on September 18th-20th at the Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama. Lorna Shore has cancelled their immediate touring plans for the time being after the band fired vocalist CJ McCreery over sexual abuse allegations against him. McCreery has yet to respond publicly and has been quiet on social media since. Blackguard are streaming their entire new album “Storm” ahead of it’s release on Friday, January 03rd. You can hear it below. This album is their first since “Firefight” which was released in 2011. From Autumn To Ashes have taken to their Facebook page on December 20th to tease what could mean a potential return in 2020. The band originally went on an indefinite hiatus in 2008 and returned briefly in 2017. There hasn’t been much if any activity from the band since July of 2015 when vocalist Francis Mark was arrested for ‘maintaining a drug house’.
