Ohio metallic hardcore band Backbiter have withdrawn from the ongoing fall co-headlining tour featuring Crown Magnetar and To The Grave, citing mental and physical health concerns within the band.
Backbiter were originally scheduled to appear on the opening leg of the tour, which launched on September 17 and runs through September 27, with Face Yourself also supporting the trek.
The band announced their departure from the remaining dates on September 19, explaining that prioritizing the health of their members had become necessary.
“we will be dropping the rest of our run with Crown Magnetar, To The Grave, and Face Yourself.
due to unfortunate mental and physical health concerns amongst the band, we have to do the right thing and prioritize that above anything else. we’re sorry to everyone that planned on seeing us on this run. thank you so much to the bands and to sound talent for this opportunity.
sorry.”
The announcement comes shortly after Backbiter began the tour, meaning the band will no longer appear on the remaining dates of the run.
The Crown Magnetar, To The Grave and Face Yourself tour continues through September 27.
