Danish death metal outfit BAEST have dropped a punishing new track titled “Stormbringer”, complete with a self-filmed music video captured during their recent North American tour alongside Arch Enemy.
The track previews the band’s upcoming fourth album, Colossal, due out August 15th. According to the band, the song bridges the gap between death metal intensity and rock ‘n’ roll swagger:
“Like a distant rumble, the ominous, almost AC/DC intro riff predicts a gathering storm with a lightning strike as the thunderous bass drums kick in. Our new single, ‘Stormbringer,’ lays the foundation for ‘Colossal,’ bringing rock’n’roll and death metal together in a grandiose and almost destroying storm. Consider this a harbinger — it is the ‘Stormbringer.’”
Colossal will be the band’s first full-length since 2021’s Necro Sapiens and looks to further solidify their status as one of Europe’s most ferocious modern death metal acts.
