Stoner and groove metal outfit Bastardane have unveiled their latest single, “Mother’s Tongue.” The release follows recent teases from the band and comes with a behind-the-scenes studio video giving fans insight into the recording process.
The track was produced by Joseph Duplantier of Gojira, adding his signature heavy and dynamic production touch. Notably, drummer Castor Hetfield, son of James Hetfield, anchors the rhythm section, connecting the project to the broader metal lineage — with Gojira set to tour with James Hetfield later this year.
“Mother’s Tongue” emphasizes Bastardane’s blend of stoner grooves and metallic aggression, making it a strong first glimpse of the band’s current direction.
