Black Tusk Announce New EP ‘Systems Of Solitude’, Release “Crushed By The Weight”

Black Tusk have announced a new EP titled ‘Systems Of Solitude’, set for release June 10th, while also unveiling its opening track, “Crushed By The Weight.”

The Savannah, GA sludge metal outfit tracked the new material at guitarist Christ Adams’ Hidden Audio studio, continuing their long-running DIY-leaning approach to recording and production.

Alongside the announcement, the band shared a statement reflecting the song’s bleak thematic direction, focusing on corruption, collapse, and distrust in authority:

“Those in power lie, cheat and steal. Who are we supposed to trust? When everything collapses and the lies are revealed, we are all crushed by the weight of all that remains.”

Systems Of Solitude will feature three tracks in total, with “Crushed By The Weight” leading the release, followed by “Far From Light” and “Small Talk.”

Black Tusk will also be supporting the EP with an extensive run of live dates across the U.S. and Europe, including shows alongside Howling Giant and Soilent Green.

The upcoming touring cycle includes stops at major festivals such as Mystic Festival and Hellfest, alongside club shows across Scandinavia, Central Europe, and beyond.
