bleak., the solo project from Cabal vocalist Andreas Bjulver, has released a new single titled “Leech.” The track arrives alongside an accompanying music video and serves as the latest preview of the project’s debut EP.
The upcoming EP, “It’s All Bleak,” is scheduled for release on April 10th through Prime Collective.
Speaking briefly about the track, Bjulver commented:
“Greed is the root of all evil – stop the bleed, remove the leech.”
A press release surrounding the project further describes the themes explored throughout the release, noting that the material reflects the emotional strain and instability that can come with life as a touring musician in an uncertain era.
According to the statement, bleak. channels exhaustion, personal turmoil, and the darker emotional realities of modern life, presenting what’s described as the opening chapter of the project’s bleak sonic landscape.
Recording sessions for the EP took place with producer Chris Kreutzfeldt, who also handled mixing and mastering duties.
