Blind Channel have unveiled “Into The Void,” the final advance single from their forthcoming studio album ‘Painstream’, with Of Mice & Men vocalist and bassist Aaron Pauley joining the Finnish rockers on the track.
The new song serves as the last standalone preview of ‘Painstream’ ahead of the album’s October 30 release through Century Media Records.
According to Blind Channel, the track draws inspiration from the Fermi Paradox and the Wow! signal, while its lyrics turn toward the question of humanity’s place in the universe and its ability to sustain life on Earth.
“‘Into The Void’ is our final standalone single from the upcoming ‘Painstream’ album before the whole thing drops. The song was inspired by the Fermi Paradox and the Wow! signal. If Earth really is the only place in the universe where life exists, we’re not exactly doing a great job of sustaining it.”
The band also explained that Pauley‘s contribution brings an appropriately chaotic element to the song.
“Aaron from Of Mice & Men jumped aboard for this one and made sure the moshpits will suck people in like black holes.”
For his part, Pauley said he enjoyed the collaboration and is looking forward to the track reaching listeners.
“I’m honored to feature on this track – it’s an absolute banger! Had a lot of fun working on it & I’m excited for the world to hear it.”
‘Painstream’ is set to arrive October 30 through Century Media Records, with “Into The Void” serving as the album’s final advance single.
