Baltimore hardcore newcomers The S.E.T. have announced they’ve cut ties with guitarist Brady Ebert ahead of the release of their debut EP ‘Self Evident Truth’, which is due out March 06th. The band confirmed the split publicly today (February 06th).
Ebert — formerly of Turnstile — had recently drawn attention online after making disparaging remarks about his former bandmates and engaging in heated exchanges with various individuals across social platforms. At the time of publication, he has yet to issue any response regarding his removal from the group.
In a statement addressing the situation, the band said:
“Brady is no longer a member of THE S.E.T. We will not stand by his ridiculous comments and behavior toward the members of our band and our community. We will continue to put on for Baltimore hardcore and thank everyone for their support.”
Ebert’s 2022 exit from Turnstile was similarly contentious, reportedly involving legal disputes and a restraining order. His dismissal from The S.E.T. arrives just weeks before the group’s first release hits shelves, leaving the band to move forward without him as they prepare to introduce their debut material.
