BREACH, the new metalcore project featuring Comeback Kid guitarist Stuart Ross, have released a new single titled “COLD” from their upcoming self-titled debut EP.
The six-track effort is scheduled for an October 30 release through Greyscale Records and brings Ross together with vocalist Luke Snider, guitarist Cole Hardy, bassist Kyle Marchant and drummer Terrance Pettitt.
Lyrically, “COLD” explores the cycle of trauma and the ways unresolved pain can ultimately be passed from one person to another. The band explained that the track focuses on confronting that cycle and recognizing that being hurt does not prevent someone from hurting others.
“The tragedy is that sometimes a person who spends their entire childhood being hurt becomes so consumed by that pain that they begin to pass it on.”
The band continued by describing “COLD” as a song about facing that realization and deciding whether to continue carrying the pain inherited from others or break the cycle.
“‘COLD’ is about confronting that cycle. About the terrifying realization that being hurt doesn’t make you incapable of hurting others.”
The self-titled EP will feature six tracks:
- 01 – “COLD”
- 02 – “EPHEMERAL”
- 03 – “PARASITE”
- 04 – “CAVE IN”
- 05 – “WHEN HOPE DIES”
- 06 – “CONTAIN”
Pre-saves for ‘BREACH’ are currently available through Greyscale Records.
