Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates is set to appear as a guest vocalist on the upcoming American Football track “No Feeling,” offering a crossover moment between melodic hardcore and indie rock worlds.
The collaboration will appear on American Football’s fourth self-titled album ‘American Football (LP4)’, which is currently scheduled for release on May 01st through PolyVinyl Records. The record marks the band’s latest full-length effort and continues their tradition of atmospheric songwriting paired with notable guest contributors.
American Football bassist and vocalist Nate Kinsella spoke about bringing Yates into the fold, praising the unique qualities he brought to the track:
“There’s a shimmery, sort of silver quality to his voice when he sings high and nails those long pitches. It’s so beyond what I expected on that song.”
In addition to Yates’ appearance, the album will also feature guest performances from Natalie Lu of Wisp and Caithlin De Marrais of Rainer Maria.
Pre-orders for ‘American Football (LP4)’ are now available ahead of its early May release.
