Andreas Bjulver, best known as the frontman of Danish post-deathcore outfit Cabal, has officially unveiled a new solo venture under the name bleak. The project has been introduced via its debut single, “Burned Out,” which arrives alongside a newly released music video.
The visual was filmed by Cold North Creative and sets the tone for bleak.’s raw and introspective direction. According to a press release, the project was “forged in the shadows of depression, chronic stress, and the unfiltered frustrations of life on the road,” signaling a deeply personal outlet separate from Bjulver’s work with Cabal.
While Cabal are known for their relentless aggression, bleak. leans into a more stripped-down and emotionally exposed space, with “Burned Out” serving as a stark introduction to the mindset and themes driving the project forward.
