CAPSIZE Continue Their Comeback With New Single “The Fracture” & New Label Home

Capsize have taken another step in their ongoing comeback, releasing a new single titled “The Fracture.” The melodic hardcore group’s career came to a halt in 2019 following sexual misconduct allegations involving vocalist/guitarist Daniel Wand and former guitarist Nick Lopez, which led to the band being removed from their tour with blessthefall and additional fallout at the time. Lopez soon exited the band, while reporting from Alternative Press stated that multiple women had come forward with accusations.

After a handful of independently released singles over the years, the band has now officially resumed activity through a signing with Roux & Ruin Records. Their new track was produced by Matt Good (From First To Last, Asking Alexandria). Wand remains part of the group, alongside drummer Andrew Tamayo.

Speaking on the new single, Wand shared:

“This song is about taking responsibility for everything in my life, even the things that are out of my control. I’ve found holding myself accountable is the only way I’ve been able to make sense of the aftermath when things fall apart in any category of life. It’s about feeling empty from it, and still trying to find some kind of light at the end of the tunnel by being candid about internal struggle. More than anything, I hope it connects with people who can find it relatable, who stuck in their own self-destructive cycles and helps them feel less alone in what they’re going through and maybe taking on a similar route to process what they are going through.”
