Technical death metal outfit Carrion Vael have officially dropped their fifth studio album, “Slay Utterly,” a brutal exploration of the lives and victims of notorious serial killers. The release is accompanied by a new music video for the album’s latest single, “Truth Or Consequences.”
Touching on the inspiration behind the track, the band shared:
“Certain horrors can resonate for years after the fact, leaving a psychological footprint that transcends time, echoing in the minds of each new generation. David Parker Ray’s toy box defines this sort of horror, and when writing ‘Truth or Consequences,’ we hoped to merge these unimaginable horrors with a form of musical brutality that resonates the concept. Leaving the listener with a chilling reminder of what can lurk in the depths of human depravity.”
