California post-punk and hardcore outfit Ceremony have announced their seventh studio album, “Tell Me Your Dream,” marking the band’s first full-length release in seven years.
The new record is scheduled to arrive on August 7 via Relapse Records and reunites the band with producer John Reis, known for his work with Rocket From The Crypt and Hot Snakes. Reis previously collaborated with Ceremony on their acclaimed 2015 album, “The L-Shaped Man.”
Alongside the announcement, Ceremony have released the album’s lead single, “Death Destruction Mayhem,” offering fans an early preview of the band’s latest creative direction.
Speaking about working with Reis again, guitarist and keyboardist Anthony Anzaldo praised the producer’s influence on the project.
“John sort of joined the band on this one. We could not respect him more as a guitarist, as a singer, as a songwriter. He understands what it’s like to be in every position. So we really gave him the keys.”
In support of the upcoming album, Ceremony have also announced a North American tour that will begin in September and continue through November.
