Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX) Marries Carla Harvey (ex-BUTCHER BABIES) In Las Vegas Ceremony Officiated By Gene Simmons

Charlie Benante, drummer of Anthrax, and Carla Harvey, former Butcher Babies vocalist, are officially married. The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas, with none other than Gene Simmons of KISS officiating the ceremony.

Josh Bernstein, president of Z2 Comics, shared photos and videos from the celebration on Instagram, congratulating the newlyweds. Harvey, who now fronts The Violent Hour and performs with Lords Of Acid, was joined by an array of rock and metal icons at the event.

Guests included Frank Bello and Scott Ian of Anthrax, Rex Brown of Pantera, and Chris Jericho of Fozzy, among others. Members of Dream Theater were also reportedly in attendance, and an Elvis Presley impersonator even made an appearance during the festivities.

Speaking with People, Benante described the night as “an elegant Russ Meyer movie with a rock and roll twist,” noting that the event grew far beyond the intimate gathering they first envisioned.

“We are finishing the second EP for Carla’s band, The Violent Hour, and we will be releasing an Anthrax album shortly, so we will be getting right back to work after the wedding.”
