Oklahoma City noise rock outfit Chat Pile have shared a new progress update on their upcoming studio album, confirming that recording has officially wrapped and the project has moved into the final production stages.
The band posted a detailed message to social media on March 28th, explaining that they have spent months writing and recording the new material at their longtime creative headquarters, Dust House — the same space where much of their previous work has been developed.
“Hey ya’ll! Here’s a little update from OKC about all the stuff going on in the world of Chat Pile.
First and foremost, we’ve spent pretty much every day since Thanksgiving up till this very moment in the humble little shanty known as Dust House writing and recording our new record.”
According to the group, the recording process is now complete, with mixing and mastering currently underway while additional details remain under wraps.
“The aforementioned record is now in the mixing and mastering phase — all other details will remain a secret for now…”
Alongside the studio update, Chat Pile also highlighted a busy touring schedule that will take them across North America, Japan, Australia, and Europe throughout 2026, including festival appearances and select dates alongside Acid Bath, Ragana, HEALTH, and Carpenter Brut.
The band additionally promoted their DIY cassette imprint Dungeon Earth, which continues to release limited-run physical editions connected to the group’s catalog and related projects, as well as their involvement with the Oklahoma Film Exchange arts collective in Oklahoma City.
No release date or title for the forthcoming album has been announced yet.
