Chevelle have officially announced their tenth studio album, Bright As Blasphemy, which will arrive August 15th through Alchemy Recordings—the label co-founded by concert promoter Danny Wimmer and Dino Paredes. The label’s roster also includes acts like Staind, Mudvayne, Serj Tankian, Puscifer, and more.
After spending decades on Epic Records, the multi-platinum alternative metal band now begin a new chapter. For the first time, vocalist/guitarist Pete Loeffler took on production duties himself, making this the band’s first full-length release without an outside producer.
Speaking on the meaning behind the album title, the band offered: “Human existence encompasses both inherent challenges and potential. It’s up to you how to pass the time. Enjoy.”
Alongside the album announcement, the band have released its second single “Jim Jones (Cowards, Pt. 2)”, a direct follow-up to the earlier “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)”. On this latest track, Chevelle stated: “History teaches us the longest rabbit hole has no end.”
