Chiodos abruptly ended their set just three songs into their performance at The Fillmore in Minneapolis, MN, on March 23rd. The unexpected cancellation occurred only a few dates into their “All’s Well That Ends Well” 20th anniversary/reunion tour, which features Hawthorne Heights, Emmure, and The Callous Daoboys as support.
The band cited vocalist Craig Owens‘ illness as the reason for the show’s abrupt end. In an official statement issued online, Chiodos addressed the situation:
“Minnesota — we are very sorry for the set being cut early tonight. Shortly before tonight’s performance was about to begin, Craig became quite ill. With the intention of doing his best to proceed on with the show, it soon became apparent that this was not possible.
We are currently sorting out a rescheduled date with the promoters, with all previously purchased tickets to be honored. We will also work out a refund plan for those that are unable to attend the new date. This resolution will happen very soon and you will be updated momentarily—we appreciate your patience in the meantime.
Again, we are truly upset and sorry to have this happen, and we will make it up to you—in the meantime please extend your good vibes to Craig to get better soon.
At this time all other scheduled shows will continue as planned.
Thank you, Chiodos”
Despite the official statement, several attendees took to the band’s subreddit, claiming to have witnessed tension on stage before the cancellation. Some also alleged that Owens did not appear visibly ill before the show was called off.

Was at the show. He sounded amazing, but you could tell something was a little off from the start. Hope everything is good for the rest of the tour.
Casey Nelson alot of people are saying he isnt actually singing😮
Jessica Hay-lee Hickman he’s been known to use backing tracks for the last few years
Jessica Hay-lee Hickman he’s singing but they layer tracks over the top of his voice to make it sound better. You can hear it noticeably in the recordings.
Jessica Hay-lee Hickman I mean if this isn’t enough to convince people…

Tom Haas wow there’s no change in dynamics whatsoever when he pulls the mic away.
Nick Haas compression will do that and it’s also a technique to help with louder notes. but it’s perfectly tuned and you can hear it. It sounds just like a studio version. I don’t get why we gotta fake the whole thing and try and make it seem like that’s real 🤦🏼♀️
Tom Haas yeah I’m very aware but the mic proximity makes no fucking sense whatsoever. I do the same when I’m tracking vocals but when I pull the mic away for louder notes you can hear it. The only microphone that COULD help with proximity which I know of is a condenser mic from Lewitt with Aray.
Nick Haas yeah the whole thing is wild. The comments in the live videos are always astonishing 😂
Tom Haas for real though but thanks for sharing the video I had no idea he was millivanilli’ing it up lol
Nick Haas 🤘🏽😂
Tom Haas us haas’s gotta stick together 🤣
Tom Haas i noticed that becoming a new trend. Pre recording live studio vocals. I think live performances are hitting rock bottom. Lip syncing to their own live singing 🤦♂️
Casey Nelson that’s because they have vocal tracks playing through the PA over the top of his voice
Shane Burtch you would be hard pressed to find a band/group/singer who doesn’t run tracks in 2025 lol it’s pretty normal.
Devin, Metal bands running tracks is ridiculous and shouldn’t be accepted by anyone who spends their money on a ticket. I get intros and stuff, but if I’m hearing vocals from the PA that nobody on stage is singing, that’s a serious problem.
Greg Quady cry all you want but it’s 2025. Times have changed my friend lol technology is taking over.
Devin, and why are so many people okay with that? If I want to hear a CD, I’ll stay the fuck home. I want a LIVE show, complete with whatever flaws might happen.
Greg Quady cause how is me commenting on the internet going change the reality, you’re just getting yourself worked up over something you have 0 control over.
Support the band or don’t. It’s pretty simple. Try being less irritated on silly things 🤷🏻♂️
Who?
Realpete Ramsey a great band. Craig Owen’s is a fantastic performer as well
Jonathan Wardell that’s not Chiodos, that’s just Craig with some hired guns
CM Mae doesnt matter. Craig Owen’s is all that matters. He’s a cool dude and a great performer. Definitely worth seeing
Jonathan Wardell I’ll check him out!
Realpete Ramsey saw him on the emos not dead cruise and he was definitely the best performer on the boat!
It was so Doritos could play the next set
Austin Charles Mitchell cool ranch or regular and yes, it matters.
It’s not even Chiodos, it’s just Craig Owens and four other dudes from his other band that he clearly cares more about.
Shane Burtch honestly i wouldn’t be surprised if this is why maybe they canceled. Issue with recorded vocals or something. We’ve seen Falling in reverse cancel over a laptop 🤷♂️
