CKY have surprise-released their first new track since 2018, titled “Can’t Stop Running.” The single arrives ahead of the band’s extensive UK, Ireland, and Australian tour dates.
Frontman Chad I Ginsburg shared that the song has been a long-time favorite for the band:
“This song has been a favorite of ours since it was written and demoed, and it’s remained one of the standouts. It will be played on tour and we’re very proud of it. The rest of the upcoming tracks we’ll be releasing are all over the map — however, this one happens to be one of our favorites. It has the perfect happy/sad feel, and shows real progression and growth in writing. This is a song for everyone — not just CKY diehards.”
Drummer Jess Margera added:
“I must have heard this song about 2,000 times since we recorded it, and somehow I still get pumped when it comes on shuffle.”
A music video for “Can’t Stop Running” is expected to debut soon.
The band’s upcoming UK and Ireland tour will feature rotating support from Black Gold, False Reality, Molly Vulpyne Band, and Jools. CKY also paid tribute to late Fiend Without A Face and Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds, who was set to join them on the run before his passing in August.
“We were supposed to be joined by our friend Brent Hinds and his band Fiend Without A Face on this run. Words can’t express how much we love and miss him, and we will be celebrating Brent every single night of this tour.”
