Clutch have officially kicked off the next chapter of their career with the release of a new single, “The Drifter Returns.” The track serves as the first preview of the veteran blues rock outfit’s upcoming fourteenth studio album.
Details surrounding the full-length are still being kept under wraps, though Clutch had previously revealed plans to begin recording the effort in early 2026 with longtime producer Machine back behind the console.
Machine has a lengthy history with the band, having previously worked on their albums ‘Blast Tyrant,’ ‘Earth Rocker’ and ‘Psychic Warfare.’ He also co-produced “The Drifter Returns” alongside the members of Clutch.
The new single arrives through the band’s own Weathermaker Music label, offering the first indication of what the next Clutch album may have in store.
