    Coheed And Cambria Drop Animated “One Last Miracle” Video Targeting Trump, ICE And Holiday Hypocrisy

    Progressive rock veterans Coheed And Cambria have unveiled a new animated music video for “One Last Miracle”, serving as a direct sequel to their 2019 holiday-themed clip for “Toys”, also known as An Unheavenly Christmas Carol. As with its predecessor, the new visual doesn’t shy away from pointed political commentary—once again taking aim at Donald J. Trump, ICE, and the real-world consequences of U.S. immigration policy.

    The video centers on a letter sent to Santa Claus by a child whose mother has been detained by ICE, pleading for her safe return by Christmas. What follows is a darker, angrier continuation of the band’s earlier narrative.

    “The visual features Santa Claus receiving a letter from a child whose mother was taken by ICE, asking for her to be returned for Christmas.”

    According to the band, One Last Miracle directly follows the events of their 2019 animated short, where Santa attempted—briefly—to teach an orange-hued president a lesson in compassion.

    “In The Unheavenly Christmas Carol, we see Santa try to teach an overweight, orange-colored president a lesson. It worked — for a term.

    Fast forward six years, Santa sees it’s gotten so much worse and is no longer f***ing around. He makes peace with his normally evil cousin, Krampus, to help him not only return the child’s mother, but to end this nonsense for all.

    It’s good to know that if Congress isn’t willing to stand up to tyranny, Santa will.”

    The concept for the new clip was created by vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez, with direction handled by Alek Wasilewski. Sanchez also shared a deeply personal statement explaining what drove the project:

    “The algorithm knows what bothers me. The non-stop scrolling through families being violently torn apart, children abandoned to fend for themselves, while their mothers are violently dragged away by men three times their size is upsetting.

    No political agenda is worth this twist of humanity’s moral compass. If there is a God… I guarantee you… she doesn’t approve.”

    Much like An Unheavenly Christmas Carol, One Last Miracle blends sharp satire with unsettling reality—using animated storytelling to underline the band’s ongoing frustration with systemic cruelty, especially when it’s inflicted on families and children.

          Ryan Killgannon the issue with him having the “balls” to say that is that he isn’t honoring it. He’s banning anyone who disagrees with him, and protecting right wing nut jobs by turning commenting off instead of letting them out themselves and get booted, the way they’re supposed to.

          Ryan Killgannon that is what I have objectively watched him do. Claim it is to make peace, but only ban the person who argued with him in particular. Not the people spewing vitriol in the comments. Not sure what he feels the need to protect them from, but yes, he’s unwittingly providing them a safe space to be shitty in.

          Heather Koch I’m not in the Coheed group, so I’m unable to verify. If it’s “objective”, then post specifics, ie: who got banned, what they said, what “vitriol” stayed up, and what rule was applied inconsistently. Otherwise it’s your interpretation of what counts as “vitriol” and “right wing,” and that’s not the same thing as fact.

          And please don’t think I’m being a jerk to you. Just playing devil’s advocate a bit.

          My point targeted the claim in that screenshot specifically, not a deep dive into the admin’s full moderation record. If you swear you’ve witnessed him guarding toxicity, then provide the details. Which posts, what rules, who faced the ban hammer? Absent that, you’re saying, “trust me, bro,” and I’m not accepting empty hype as proof.
