Nü-metal and alternative metal veterans Colepitz have officially returned with a brand new single titled “End Of Everything,” marking their first new material in roughly sixteen years.
The track is being self-produced by the band and arrives alongside a lyric video premiere, with engineering handled by Jonathan Wyman at The Halo studio in Windham, Maine.
For mixing duties, Colepitz enlisted Sky Van Hoff, known for his work with acts including Sleep Token and Rammstein. The band noted the decision came after being impressed with his work on Sleep Token’s This Place Will Become Your Tomb.
Looking ahead, Colepitz are also targeting a fall release for their long-awaited third studio album, which will be their first full-length record in over a decade and a half. The upcoming LP will also feature writing contributions from Dave Gutter of Rustic Overtones.
Speaking on the new single, the band described it as a defining moment for the record:
“‘End Of Everything’ is the first thing people are going to hear from this record and we wanted it to hit like a door coming off its goddamn hinges…”
The current lineup includes vocalist/guitarist Rob Korhonen, guitarist Ray Suhy (also of Six Feet Under), and drummer Shane Kinney.
