Post-hardcore outfit Commoner have released an official music video for their latest single, “Passerby.” The visual was directed by Errick Easterday, whose previous work includes videos for Wage War and Boundaries.
Vocalist Romin Mattison explained that the track carries a personal meaning, serving as a way to communicate feelings that were never expressed directly.
“‘Passerby’ has always had a more literal meaning for the band. For me, the song is a way to send a personal message to someone I’ll never speak to again—a chance to express everything I once held back.”
“Passerby” will appear on Commoner’s upcoming debut album, ‘Former Self’, which is scheduled to arrive November 13 through Pure Noise Records.
The band will hit the road in November alongside ASkySoBlack and 0 Miles Per Hour in support of the release. The run begins November 5 in San Diego, California, and wraps up November 16 in Cottonwood, Arizona.
