Southern metal veterans Corrosion Of Conformity have officially welcomed a new drummer, bringing Nick Shabatura into the lineup.
Shabatura landed the role after being recommended by Anthrax and Pantera drummer Charlie Benante, as the band explained in a recently shared video announcement. He steps in for Stanton Moore, who handled drumming duties beginning in 2024 following the death of longtime drummer Reed Mullin.
Moore gave his full support to the move in a social media post on March 13, explaining that the transition was always part of the plan.
“I approve this message!
I went by rehearsals in Riffississippi the other day to meet and hang with Nick. He is an amazing drummer and a super cool guy. He showed up having completely done his homework and already sounds great playing with the band.
The plan was always for me to make this record with the guys and then to find somebody to do the touring. Well, we found the guy and he is Nick Shabatura!”
The lineup change arrives as Corrosion Of Conformity prepare to release their upcoming double album **‘Good God / Baad Man’ on April 3. Earlier this week, the band previewed the record with the new single “You Or Me.”
To support the album, the group has mapped out an extensive touring schedule across North America and Europe, sharing stages with bands including Whores., Clutch, and Crobot, along with appearances at major festivals such as Sick New World, Download Festival, Hellfest Open Air, Wacken Open Air, and Graspop Metal Meeting.
