Cradle Of Filth Release “White Hellebore” Music Video

Cradle of Filth has unleashed more new music, following up last month’s “To Live Deliciously” with a brand-new single, “White Hellebore”. Directed by Shaun Hodson, the latest video offers a chilling, cinematic experience. Frontman Dani Filth explains the song’s inspiration and the eerie visuals:

“The wintertime flower of the title reminds us scintillatingly of our own mortality, flourishing in seasons of dying light and cold, frozen earth. Blossoming in the shadows, this Hellebore’s flowers draw us deeply into the stygian darkness with her.

In the context of the song, the White Hellebore represents an alluring woman, dangerously close to the predatory black widow. She embodies both hope and despair—a poison and an elixir, stunning in appearance but deadly to taste.

This video, dripping with Lovecraftian gothic horror, presents the White Hellebore as a movie starlet who cheats death through dark occult practices. Her necromantic tryst with the forces of darkness leads to terrifying consequences when an overzealous morgue attendant gets involved, perfectly complementing the song’s unholy mix of melody and mayhem.”

Cradle of Filth will drop their fourteenth studio album, The Screaming of the Valkyries, next Friday, March 21st.
