Crossbreed have unveiled their take on EMF’s early 1990s hit “Unbelievable,” putting an industrial nü-metal spin on one of the decade’s most recognizable alternative rock anthems.
The release arrives as the band continues work toward their first studio album since 2009, which is currently expected to arrive on August 4.
According to the band, the new version was created by Seven Dunbar and Wade Harris, who sought to modernize the song while preserving the spirit of the original recording.
In a statement accompanying the release, the band explained their approach to the track.
“Keeping the original vibe intact, this version of ‘UNBELIEVABLE’ gives the song an updated sound from the updated tech side, along with a bpm increase to give the song a little more bounce for the modern day dancer to move to a slightly faster groove.
This song has been on the top of the list to cover since Crossbreed started in the mid 90’s, and has finally come to fruition in 2026.
We were told by a record executive that they were the only ones that could blow this thing up, we disagree and hope everyone that watches this video does so at least 10,000 times, and shares to friends daily.”
The cover serves as another sign of activity from Crossbreed, who have been steadily working on new material and preparing for their long-awaited return with a full-length release later this year.
