Current Comfort Drop New EP ‘A Lapse of Love’

Rising post-hardcore outfit Current Comfort have released their new EP, ‘A Lapse of Love’, continuing their run of emotionally driven material built around shifting relationships and personal reflection.

The EP features previously released singles “Collateral,” “Live For Learning,” and “Obvious,” all of which helped establish the tone and direction leading into the full project rollout.

Physical bundles for ‘A Lapse of Love’ are available now via DSFP Records at dsfprecords.com.

The record was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Randy LeBoeuf, with art design by Dakota Breinlinger and promotional photography handled by Sofie Milton.

In a statement reflecting on the EP’s concept, Miles explained that each song represents a pivotal moment where a shift occurs, either in relationships with others or internally.

“The title comes from the idea that every song from the EP represents a pivotal moment, ‘A Lapse Of Love’, in which a shift occurs.”

He expanded on how the record splits its emotional focus across different perspectives.

“Sometimes immediate, sometimes gradual, the first four tracks are a shift in a relationship with someone else, and the last track being a shift in the relationship I have with myself, which I think ties the entire EP together nicely.”

Miles added that viewing the songs collectively gave them added cohesion and meaning.

“Reflecting on the songs as a whole, it feels nice to see them as those pivotal moments that have been worked through and processed, giving them even further cohesion even though they all sit in slightly different spaces.”

With ‘A Lapse of Love’ now available, Current Comfort continue building their presence within the modern post-hardcore scene through a blend of introspective themes and polished production.
