Dance Gavin Dance Reveal Third ‘Tree City Sessions’ Album, Premiere “Need Money” In-Studio Video

Dance Gavin Dance have officially completed the trilogy of their fan-favorite ‘Tree City Sessions’ live studio series.

The Sacramento, California post-hardcore outfit confirmed that ‘Tree City Sessions 3’ will arrive on May 22nd, marking the third installment in the series that began a decade ago and continued with a second volume in late 2020. Like its predecessors, the new release was recorded live at Pus Cavern Recording Studios in the band’s hometown.

To launch the announcement, Dance Gavin Dance have premiered a fresh in-studio performance video for “Need Money,” originally featured on their 2011 album ‘Downtown Battle Mountain II’.

Vocalist Jon Mess said of the selection:

“Need Money is an underrated song. It’s weird and fun, and you gotta love those horns.”

The upcoming release features 12 re-recorded songs spanning different eras of the band’s catalog.
