Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine will hit the road for a short book tour this month in support of his upcoming memoir, ‘In My Darkest Hour.’
Co-written with Joe Layden, the memoir is due out September 8 and chronicles Mustaine’s battle with throat cancer in 2019, along with the events surrounding that difficult period in his life.
Mustaine will appear at three promotional events in support of the book:
- 09/08 New York, NY – Kaufman Music Center (7:30-8:30 p.m.)
- 09/09 Boston, MA – Parkside Bookshop (9-10 p.m.)
- 09/10 Manassas, VA – Barnes & Noble (11 a.m.-12 p.m.)
Rolling Stone writer Kory Grow will moderate a fan Q&A during the opening New York event. The Boston and Manassas appearances will include opportunities for fans to take photos with Mustaine, while pre-signed copies of the memoir will also be available.
‘In My Darkest Hour’ follows Mustaine’s previously documented battle with cancer and offers his account of the diagnosis, treatment and recovery process.
