Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter has unveiled a new guitar playthrough for the band’s latest single, “My Mind Is a Mountain”. The track, which debuted earlier this month on July 10th, serves as the first taste of their forthcoming tenth studio album, Private Music.
This newly shared video showcases Carpenter running through his parts for the moody, textured single, giving fans a deeper look at his signature tone and playing style. It also marks one of the first up-close performances of the material from Private Music, which is set to arrive on August 22nd via Warner Records.
Private Music will be the long-awaited follow-up to 2020’s Ohms and is already building anticipation with the atmospheric and emotionally heavy direction heard on “My Mind Is a Mountain”.
